Onion Bahjias

3 oz gram (chickpea) flour
2 oz self raising flour
1 teaspoon chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 spring onion - finely chopped
1 medium potato - grated
2 medium onions - chopped
1/2 teaspoon coriander seeds
1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 tablespoon fresh coriander leaves
  1. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl with a little water to form a stiff batter.
  2. Deep fry on a low heat until crisp and brown.
